Let us know.colour. At the moment we do not know what the C & Co refers to but it should be possible to find out. The brick opposite clearly shows where it was made and the maker. The similarity of the shape of the indentation on the brick below and the lettering for Pocklington suggests the same brickyard but why no makers name? Many Pocklington bricks do not have indentations (or frogs - see page 11) so perhaps the identifications were only put on certain batches as Exhibition in 1978Kate & Mike PrattA s the press cutting (overleaf)indicates, Kate Pratt had the idea of holding an exhibition in 1978 for the restoration appeal for the church. A follow-up exhibition mentioned in the article for the following year never materialised, probably because the work required to assemble so much original memorabilia and return it after the exhibition proved so complicated. One legacy from the exhibition was the photographic copying by Andrew Sefton of many of the images supplied. He then produced copies for people to purchase. A number of these copies still exist although some of the originals from which they were made have disappeared from view. It was a very successful evening but people would have liked it to be open for more than one night.Right: Lord Holderness supplied some photographs for display and came on the night.
